Neck:  Release the neck, segment by segment.

Tips on Neck Mind Body Power:  The more we talk to this body part, the more we see the relaxation we seek.  Tension in the neck reflects our need for a balanced life, wherein we utilize ourselves fully in our bodies and give expression to our repetitive thought.  The neck is the route from the body to the head, the head to the body.  Energetically speaking, this space is a powerhouse.

Understanding that with which we deal, let us work towards opening the expression we each need.

We begin our neck release with the back of the neck.

Inhale, drawing the chin down towards the chest, imaging the life force entering and vitalizing the area of the back of the neck, base of the skull through the upper shoulders.  Exhale, lifting the chin, releasing the breath, letting go of all tension, all discomfort in the back of your neck in your exhalation.  Repeat this process several times, 3 three being a max.

Move your focus to the side of the neck.  Inhale, drawing the chin down towards the chest, imaging the life force entering and vitalizing the area of the side of the neck, up underneath the jaw, along the mastoid bone behind the ear.  Exhale, lifting the chin, releasing the breath, letting go of all tension, all discomfort in the side of the neck in your exhalation. Repeat 3 times if you find this helpful.

Move your focus into the front of the neck.  Inhale, drawing the chin down towards the chest, imaging the life force entering and vitalizing the area of the front of the neck, from underneath the jawbone down to the collar bones.  Exhale, lifting the chin, releasing the breath, letting go of all tension, all discomfort, in the front of your neck in your exhalation. Repeat the release 3 times, if you want.

If you still feel your neck needs more help, lower the chin, imaging the entirety of the neck, inhaling, bringing in the new life, exhaling, opening,  releasing, healing this space.

Base of the Skull:  Synergy:  The base of the skull is a significant energy center, within the human energy anatomy, as we have previously noted.  Think of where the spinal column of the neck joins the base of the skull as your space wherein the physical that you are in the body meets the Spirit that you are in essence.  This is a space to honor and to open. When you place your consciousness there in the process of meditation, you open to spiritual healing.   In time, this energy center in the base of the skull links to the center termed the third eye through which one observes the workings and truth of the subtle world.

Base of the Skull:  Inhale, pressing the base of the skull directly down into your mat/back towards your chair support.  Visualize this area filling with the life force.  Exhale, release the contraction, letting go of all toxins in the breath.  Release the skull, relaxing all intensity.  Visualize your body/mind filling with healing energy.  Repeat several times.

Jaw:  Inhale, pressing the tongue to the roof of the mouth in the upper palette, feeling the contraction in the jaw, the mouth, the tongue, vitalizing this space.  Exhale, releasing the contraction, and breathe away all tension in the mouth and the jaw.  Repeat several times.

Tips for Mind Body Power:  We clamp down the jaw and freeze in this area to hold within ourselves our thoughts and our emotions.  Making these physical movements and focusing within the mouth and jaw helps us to release ourselves, in our muscles, in our emotions, in our expression.

Eyes:  Tips:  There is extensive esoteric energy information concerning the significance within the human energy anatomy of the functionality in the eye space.   Working to open and to relax here helps us on all levels of life.

Inhale, gently close the eyelids, imaging and vitalizing the eyes, the brow, and cheeks. Exhale, releasing the contraction, and honoring all you see in life.

Crown:  Inhale, vitalizing the life force within your crown, the top of the skull, your scalp, your brain.  Exhale, honoring the Spirit is your life source.

This concludes your energy journey through Savasana.
